Technical Business Analyst

We are supporting a Swiss-based company specialized in data protection and information management, serving clients across highly regulated and data-sensitive industries.
As part of its growth and team consolidation in Switzerland, the company is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to become the seam between software users and software developers, within an agile, international environment.
The role sits within a multidisciplinary team bringing together development, QA, DevOps, and project governance functions (PMO, Project Management, Business Analysis).. The position aims to enhance delivery capabilities and support a culture of collaboration and structure within the local team.
Main Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and formalize complex business and technical requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
- Write functional and technical specifications (SRS, SDS, user stories, use cases, test cases) for new applications or for modifications to existing ones.
- Collaborate closely with QA teams: provide testing scenarios and perform initial testing against use cases, UI design, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify and communicate project and design risks to project management (safety, performance, and compliance issues).
- Facilitate workshops and knowledge transfer by presenting analysis results and deliverables to project teams.
- Train and mentor other software analysts and customers as required.
- Contribute to internal process optimization and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Apply the Operations department methodologies (requirements collection and related standards).
- Report regularly on progress, workload, and estimation updates to management.
- Provide post-implementation support: configuration, testing, and user training.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar Business Analyst or Technical Analyst role, ideally within an international company, a private bank, or a complex software environment (SaaS, fintech, data, cybersecurity).
- Working knowledge of software technology and hands-on computer programming experience, combined with broad business understanding.
- Strong analytical skills with application architectures, APIs, and data exchange formats (XML, JSON).
- Practical experience with Postman, SoapUI, Fiddler, or similar tools.
- High agility: assimilates information quickly, enjoys learning, and moves easily between projects.
- Problem-solver: breaks complex problems into parts and proposes concrete solutions.
- Creative: enjoys exploring alternative possibilities and outcomes.
- Outcome-focused: understands broader team priorities and aligns own work accordingly.
- Able to synthesize and explain complex topics in clear, accessible language.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, very well organized and structured, comfortable in agile and multicultural teams.
- Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).
