Senior DevOps Engineer

We are supporting a Swiss-based company specialized in data protection and secure information management, providing high-availability solutions for clients operating in regulated and data-sensitive industries.

As part of its continued growth and infrastructure modernization, the company is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to drive automation, scalability, and reliability across both cloud and on-premises environments.

The role sits within a multidisciplinary engineering team of about twelve professionals, including backend and frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps specialists, and project governance experts. It plays a key role in enhancing deployment processes, improving delivery performance, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration within the Swiss team.

Main Responsibilities


  • Deploy, manage, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in Azure and in customer environments (cloud or on-premises).
  • Design and manage Helm charts to standardize and streamline application deployments.
  • Build and automate CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Harbor, etc.).
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of internal and external infrastructures.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK…).
  • Collaborate with software and delivery teams to guarantee seamless releases and efficient handovers to clients.
  • Provide 2nd- and 3rd-level support for upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Promote continuous improvement and share DevOps best practices across teams.
  • Be proactive in enhancing and automating the overall release management lifecycle.

Profile


  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, System Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
  • Deep expertise with Kubernetes (installation, administration, troubleshooting).
  • Strong experience with Helm (chart creation, customization, management).
  • Proven skills in Microsoft Azure (AKS, networking, IAM, storage).
  • Solid Linux administration background and scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline automation and release management.
  • Autonomous, proactive, and capable of driving projects end-to-end.
  • Fluent in English and French (German is a plus).


  • Nice to have:
    • GitOps tools (ArgoCD, FluxCD)
    • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible)
    • DevSecOps principles and security hardening
    • Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)

Technical Environment  


  • Azure-based and on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
  • CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Harbor.
  • Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
  • Scripting: Bash, Python, Go.
  • Collaboration in an agile, international team (Switzerland, Europe, Middle East).

Conditions 


  • Contract type: Permanent position (full-time)
  • Location: Geneva (hybrid work model; open to cross-border candidates)
  • Start date: January 2026 (or sooner)
